The challenge

Women’s gym wear brand AYBL is the fastest growing business in the UK, and for good reason. Their quality products have helped inspire and encourage fitness journeys around the world.

However, such rapid growth hasn’t come without its challenges. In AYBL's case, they experience extreme spikes in order volumes during peak sales periods.

In addition, they’re a global brand and have six separate Shopify stores for localisation. These stores all share the same stock, which means they’re essentially advertising six times the stock that they actually have!

This, combined with previous tech between their Shopify platform and WMS which was too slow to sync stock, was leading to severe issues with overselling.

At one point, they had to refund £300,000 worth of orders and contact around 7,000 customers. This doesn’t just affect a brand’s time and resources - it can also damage their reputation, and result in lower retention rates and poor word of mouth.

AYBL needed a way to streamline their operation, and a solution which could fully enable their growth.

The solution
